Jing Yang proposal

1. What do you intend to photograph?
The place I visited. Landscape and things.

2. Why do you want to photograph the subject?
I like traveling and I like to capturing the scene I saw during my journey. I’m going to LA this thanksgiving and it’s not my first time visit LA so I want to show this place in a different perspective.

3. How do you intend to revisit subject over the final weeks of class to build on critique?
Since it is hard for me to go back and retake the photo, I will take multiple photos of one scene to used as backups. Also, I can Photoshop the pictures to make them look nicer.

4. Why will the viewer care to spend time with your photographs?
My project will record my trip to LA, but it’s not a project showing what LA looks like. The name of the project is “the place I visit”, the “I” here is not only me but all the viewers. I want to use my photos of this trip to think of their trip. Were there something you seen during the trip but didn’t record it? Or for the same place, are you able to look at it in a different perspective?

5. What are the challenges you anticipate running into?
Since I want to record my trip in a different perspective, I need to think first about the undervalued part during my visit. Also, I need to find different perspective to show the subject.
